Practice Areas
Criminal Law:  William F. Zwick handles many different types of criminal law matters including felony and misdemeanor cases.  Typical cases are DUI/OWVI ("drinking and driving") cases, traffic tickets, driving while suspended, hardship/probationary licenses, battery, non-support of a dependent, drug crimes, forgery, and theft.  Mr. Zwick has represented clients ina variety of other criminal matters including probation violations, sealing records and sentence modifications.
Family Law:  Family law encompasses divorce, paternity, custody, child support, visitation (now called "parenting time" in Indiana), "prenups", and anything to do with the family structure and function.  This may be one of the more difficult and stressful areas of law.  Emotions run high when families are affected.  It is no wonder many attorneys "retire" from family law at the earliest opportunity.

William F. Zwick is somewhat unique in his approach to family law.  He believes that the client is better served through cooperative parenting instead of conflict in an adversarial system.  Almost every case taken to a court hearing magnifies family conflict.  Studies have shown children in families with "high conflict" are much more likely to be juvenile delinquents.  What person would want their child in the juvenile justice system?  Taking a family to court is (and should be) used sparingly after negotiation and mediation fail to resolve the disagreement.
